Marvelous is An Understatement

After seeing 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' at 12:45 at opening (which I was extremely lucky to get tickets for) at first the only words I could think of to describe the whole movie was “amazing” and “marvelous” but then I realized that those words were understatements. So instead of trying to describe the whole 2 hour movie in one word I'll do it in roughly 514.

'Eclipse' was one movie that most of my friends had been anticipating since 'New Moon' had come out in the theater (it was all of us except for two “masculine men” that supposedly hate the whole saga). Being the Twitard I am I had to re-read Eclipse before going to see the movie so that I was able to pinpoint what was kept in the movie, what wasn't, and what was added to it. I went into the movie theater with expectations that had been exceeded as soon as Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) had appeared on screen. I don't know exactly what changes were made in his appearance but whatever they did to him made a huge (and I mean HUGE) difference. I went from thinking that he was the wrong actor to play the adorable romantic vampire to thinking that he was absolutely perfect for the part. Robert Pattinson played the part of Edward exactly as it was meant to be and he looked amazing while doing it.

There was no doubting the fact that Taylor Lautner was meant to play the part of Jacob Black. The love-struck, (VERY) muscular, vampire-hating werewolf was portrayed flawlessly in this movie and Taylor Lautner made playing th part look “as easy as breathing”. The rivalry between Jacob and Edward was most definitely there (it had to be that's a whole theme of the book!) and strong. The loyalty that Jacob had to Bella (Kristen Stewart) was also there and so was their obvious chemistry. Kristen Stewart also did an impeccable job at being Bella. Her adoration and attachment to Edward and love for Jacob was apparent and didn't have the love triangle confusion.

Overall every character was played with ease and they were just like their characters in the book. There was plenty of romance, hot love scenes, and heartfelt moments to keep the secret hopeless romantic side of me satisfied and tucked deep down inside. There was plenty of humor to keep us all doubled over in laughter...but the most exciting parts were the action scenes. When it came to the action, Jasper Cullen (Jackson Rathbone) and Emmett Cullen (Kellan Lutz) kept it all alive (but everyone else still kicked some bootie) , but Edward and Seth Clearwater (Tyler Posey) had their own little fight scene with Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) and her faithful sidekick Riley (Xavier Samuel) which was amazing and kept us all at the edge of our seats.

In general the whole movie was as great in comparison as the book it was based off of and for anyone who has yet to see it (I hope I haven't given away too much) GO WATCH IT! I give this movie a 2 thumbs up and I'm sure anyone else who is in their right minds would.
