NO Manners on the Field

Since I have the pleasure of not having to deal with the same things that I did last year, I won't be talking about the same things much this year. This will probably be the first post that has nothing to do with teachers! *clap, clap, clap* Yay! But sadly, there is something that I must complain about. Due to my recent writer's block this may not be as funny as the last few but hey, I'm trying. For the sake of privacy I'll just call my subject "Jamie".

Jamie doesn't have respect for other people's belongings. She decides that if she's interested in something then she'll go on ahead and touch it without the other person's permission. This bothers me because Jamie likes to touch my belongings when I sit next to her in Algebra 2. It's not that my things are extremely valuable, it's just that I would like for her to ask FIRST.

It's funny, I was going to post this on Friday, but I waited too long to write it out and lost the emotion. Now that she's gone and done it again (even after the nasty look that I gave her the first time) she has successfully refueled the fire.

On Monday there was an activity that we were doing at the beginning of class. It was imperative that everyone had a graphing calculator for the activity, and if your neighbor didn't have theirs with them then you were asked to share.

I had mine, but my neighbor, Jamie, did not.

No biggie... I was in some-what of a good mood, so I shared. The activity went well, we got it done. After that we were given an assignment out of the book. It wasn't group work so I took my calculator back and kept it next to me so I could use it while I did my work.

There was one particularly hard problem so I moved to grab my calculator to use it, but when I did it wasn't where I had left it. I found it laying on Jamie's desk and she was using it to solve a problem of her own.

After she finished and placed it back on my desk she noticed that I was (purposely) giving her a nasty look and she smiled and thanked me for letting her borrow my calculator. STRIKE ONE.

The second offense. I've had a serious case of writer's block for quite a while and so I've taken up drawing as a form of expression. Well...maybe it's not exactly drawing. All I do is take a part of the lyrics to a song and write it down and decorate it. I guess you would cal it creative writing because I use a lot of my markers and pens to make it look pretty. I do that a lot in Algebra II during class because it helps me focus. One day, Jamie decided that she wanted to doodle on her hand with one of my markers. She grabs one, writes on her hand, and then puts it back in the wrong place. Since I'm OCD and I keep each marker in order by color in their little slots , when she moved it out of place she made my brain spaz out. I glared at her again and put the marker (rather loudly) back into place. This time instead of thanking me she just said "oh."

OH?! OH?!She put my things out of order and all she has to say for herself is OH??? When she did that she really angered me but I held it in...it was quiet in the classroom so I couldn't go off on her without being noticed, and even if I could I wouldn't have. I'm too nice for that. But anyway. STRIKE TWO.

The last offense bothered me the most. One of my favorite things about my binders this year is that all of them are black. I did this because I wanted a reason to ask my mom to buy me a silver Sharpie so that I could write on them. Armed with my silver Sharpie I doodle on my binders whenever I get bored and don't know what else to do. It was the end of class one day and since I already finished my assignment for homework I decided to doodle on my binder. I put down my marker for one second and next thing I know Jamie is doodling on my binder! She wrote a message on it and signed her name on it so that I knew it was her. I didn't say anything about it because I didn't want to explode. I was so angry that I couldn't do anything but read for the rest of the class period. STRIKE THREE! Shouldn't she be out?

I know that I'm not the only one in the world who has do deal with mannerless people and I think it's sad that so many people didn't listen to their mothers when they were younger.

Learn your manners! Don't touch other's posessions without permission!

Marvelous is An Understatement

After seeing 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' at 12:45 at opening (which I was extremely lucky to get tickets for) at first the only words I could think of to describe the whole movie was “amazing” and “marvelous” but then I realized that those words were understatements. So instead of trying to describe the whole 2 hour movie in one word I'll do it in roughly 514.

'Eclipse' was one movie that most of my friends had been anticipating since 'New Moon' had come out in the theater (it was all of us except for two “masculine men” that supposedly hate the whole saga). Being the Twitard I am I had to re-read Eclipse before going to see the movie so that I was able to pinpoint what was kept in the movie, what wasn't, and what was added to it. I went into the movie theater with expectations that had been exceeded as soon as Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) had appeared on screen. I don't know exactly what changes were made in his appearance but whatever they did to him made a huge (and I mean HUGE) difference. I went from thinking that he was the wrong actor to play the adorable romantic vampire to thinking that he was absolutely perfect for the part. Robert Pattinson played the part of Edward exactly as it was meant to be and he looked amazing while doing it.

There was no doubting the fact that Taylor Lautner was meant to play the part of Jacob Black. The love-struck, (VERY) muscular, vampire-hating werewolf was portrayed flawlessly in this movie and Taylor Lautner made playing th part look “as easy as breathing”. The rivalry between Jacob and Edward was most definitely there (it had to be that's a whole theme of the book!) and strong. The loyalty that Jacob had to Bella (Kristen Stewart) was also there and so was their obvious chemistry. Kristen Stewart also did an impeccable job at being Bella. Her adoration and attachment to Edward and love for Jacob was apparent and didn't have the love triangle confusion.

Overall every character was played with ease and they were just like their characters in the book. There was plenty of romance, hot love scenes, and heartfelt moments to keep the secret hopeless romantic side of me satisfied and tucked deep down inside. There was plenty of humor to keep us all doubled over in laughter...but the most exciting parts were the action scenes. When it came to the action, Jasper Cullen (Jackson Rathbone) and Emmett Cullen (Kellan Lutz) kept it all alive (but everyone else still kicked some bootie) , but Edward and Seth Clearwater (Tyler Posey) had their own little fight scene with Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) and her faithful sidekick Riley (Xavier Samuel) which was amazing and kept us all at the edge of our seats.

In general the whole movie was as great in comparison as the book it was based off of and for anyone who has yet to see it (I hope I haven't given away too much) GO WATCH IT! I give this movie a 2 thumbs up and I'm sure anyone else who is in their right minds would.

Why I Think We're Being Cheated

So, it's June and as pretty much everyone knows we're on summer vacation. Sadly...it's almost over. We only have about 6 more weeks until we go back to school! WHERE DID THE TIME GO??? I didn't even get to try and go bungee jumping yet! I didn't get the chance to do anything stupid or dangerous like most of us teenagers like to do. I mean no I wouldn't actually go bungee jumping or do anything stupid or dangerous but they didn't even give me the CHANCE! This is the time when parents start to go school supply shopping when the don't know what you need yet. They pick up things they know you'll need like pencils and pens, erasers and white out, a huge binder that you'll never be able to fit in your book bag much less your locker (which my school does not have...we have cubbies -.-). My mom did that last year. She made me, the smallest girl in high school, attempt to carry around the biggest binder in the universe for the sake of organization. Fat amount of good that did. I eventually ended up just leaving it in my homeroom class and carrying around different small binders which worked out better. I think that we're being cheated of our vacation time. We should definitely have more of it.

Some Teachers are TRIPPIN'!

*sigh* Yeah, it's never good when something starts with a sigh, unless it's a happy sight. That was NOT a happy sigh. School is such tedious work. I don't know about any other schools but my school has some teachers that just give us work and tests and quizzes to torment us. Like the chemistry teacher for example or the Spanish teacher. It seems as though those two teachers walk the face of the earth daily just thinking about how to bust their students' brains. The Spanish teacher decided upon giving us the hardest packet in the world filled with words that we hadn't learned and demanding that it should be finished by the end of class. IMPOSSIBLE! The chemistry teacher targeted us by giving us a quiz on MONDAY and a test on WEDNESDAY. How are we supposed to perfect the skills that we need to work on in one day? He's rather ignorant if he thinks that's possible. We DO have other classes if he hadn't noticed. Chemistry is one class out of seven in all...how much study time does he expect us to have? AND we have finals next week! What's up with him giving us a test so close to finals? BLECH! Nasty!I find that to be cruel and unusual. Why are my teachers trippin??

The First Time They've Taken a Fire Drill WAY Too Seriously

I've never really had a major problem with fire drills. Usually the only problem that I have (if any problem at all) with them is the outdoor weather. It's either it's hor or it's cold... Well today was almost a totally different story. We did have a fire drill today but this time it was different. It interrupted my Chemistry quiz (giving me more time to think about the problem that I was on [thank god]) So everyone was pretty happy. I met up with Liz on the way to the designated fire drill location and we talked about how she was sun-burnt and the bright outdoors wasn't helping very much. Since she was in a totally different class we had to part in order to gather with our classes. In middle school we had to line up, but at some point in time the concept of the line escaped our minds...but that's a topic for a different post. It was burning up out there and I was the genius who didn't take off my jacket while I was still inside. We "lined up" outside the way we normally do and waited for the cue that tells us we could go back inside. When I say we waited I mean that we stood there talking and goofing around. It was alright before, I don't know what changed. Before we knew it the C.E.O and principals were yelling at us and telling us to move down past the dugout that my class was directly behind. There were approximately over 600 of us and they were asking us all to move down so much that we ended up being smushed together in the boiling heat...not exactly the most comfortable feeling in the world. They never complained about us being aligned with the dugout before but they chose the 2nd to last week of school to start. Does that make sense? That and the noise levels were both the norm for us and they just decided to try and change it...like THAT makes any sense.

More Money = More Benefits

So... the kindergarten graduation ceremony for my little sister wasn't too bad. It was cute. No really what I expected...but I didn't expect much. They did a cute little musical type thing before they did the actual graduation.None of them wore shoes because they were camping. As they were walking about barefoot I thought about how all of the parents at my school would jump in with their preferences. "Oh! My child has to wear socks!" or "Can she not wear a plaid shirt? The different colors do nothing to compliment her skin tone." If my school were to do something like this then I could probably imagine all of the multiple possibilities of what the parents could complain about. Haha!My school tries its best to keep the parents happy. Of course they should, they get enough money from them... I would be a bad thing if we were dissatisfied with anything. I guess our parents have every right to be spoiled. 2nd Cup of Coffee once every month (I think), that demented website called Renweb invented to keep our parents posted whenever we fail stuff (not when we pass...hopefully you can see the problem with that). All of those are designed to keep our parents happy (and Renweb was designed to make the student's lives miserable). I like that...that means we sorta get spoiled too.

Cat Bones & Titrations

I already expressed my distaste for Chemistry a few posts ago, but today I didn't have the same problem. It wasn't the actual class that tormented my life, it was anatomy. I don't even take anatomy yet so it's a bad sign if the class is getting on my nerves already. The anatomy students were sharing the lab with us because we had a lab on Titrations today and they were working on their end of the year project. A project which consists of peeling the skin and muscles off of a dead cat. There were dead cats everywhere. On the lab tables, in the sinks, in plastic containers soaking. Now of course, like all other dead carcasses these cats smelled BAAAAAD. Not normal dead animal bad, but bleach, rubbing alcohol and preservatives bad. I had to sit there for a whole hour not only smelling this but involuntarily watching them scrape whatever remaining muscle gunk was on the animal bones. Talk about NASTY! And I'll have to do that next year! Maybe I'll make good use of my mom's cat allergies.

Mass Chaos = Father Food

Like I don't get enough at school! I come home after a hard day of school (no exaggeration) and sit my butt down to try and get some stuff done. Things like.. maybe get some studying in, get a few things updated, maybe post a new chapter on fanfic for once! Most of that stuff requires both a computer and this amazing invisible force called the internet. An amazing invisible force that my step-father decided to shut off when I decided to take a second to et everything starting to load before taking the dog outside. It would only have taken a second...but no. He decided that I don't need to get anything done until I take the dog outside. So instead of it taking less time to get my afternoon started it had to take more because I had to wait for my already slow laptop to get the internet connected!!! GAH! Why must he make things so complicated?!?!?! And then when I want to go inside my little sister had to start crying and say that "she didn't get to spend a lot of time outside!! WAH WAH WAH!" And then my stepfather (who adheres to my little sister's every whimsy) said "Sam, stay outside" because of course since she wants to stay out then someone has to stay with her and I have nothing to do so I should stay out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know... adults go to work, but SO DO I! School is work whether or not adults accept that. I have stuff to do unlike some 6-year-olds who go to a kindergarten class and take naps.

All Rants Come From Spanish Class!!!!

So today I'm sitting there in my Spanish class unwillingly listening to the dense and drama-filled gossip going on around me. Hearing all of this is making me wonder if I've ever had that type of conversation. If I did then I'm glad that I got past that stage. I'm hearing all of this and it feels like my IQ is dropping by the second. All of hte who said/did whats and "OMG they're so..."s are making me want to hurl. I mean in my head I was like "WHO CARES?!?!?" I'm pretty sure that at some point they mentioned the name of the only 9th grader that I somewhat willingly communicate with. Sure, I hear some of that stuff come out of the mouths of the other 10th graders, but not much. Maybe it's because I stay confined to my small group of friends. Sure...I guess that's it. I won't test that theory because I've sort of lost my touch when it comes to friend making. I do it sometimes, but I don't really ever understand how. Whatever, doesn't matter. I don't really need more friends here. Bringing in more people includes taking the risk of inviting the aforementioned IQ dropping blabber. What would I do wiht a person like that other than try not to rip their head off? I dunno.. maybe I just have some sort of hatred toward "normal" people. Or maybe I'm so abnormal that normal people seem weird to me. Meh, whatever. I'm glad that my friends are weird. (Speaking of friends and weird people, I have to give my thanks to Elizabeth Leach for the title of this post. THANKS!!!)

The Curses of Chem....

you know what....I despise Chemistry. It's not just because the teacher bores me to heck either. I don't do math...and add math to science (which isn't exactly a subject that I've perfected yet) and you've got the spawn of Satan. I don't get the point of this class exactly, I mean it's not like I'm going to be a chemist when I grow up is it?? NO. *sigh* O.o I need to make a t-shirt at the end of the year, it's going to say "I survived a year in Chemistry." Notice that it doesn't implied that I passed... XD There's still hope (sorta...)
